About Michael D Schoenfeldt

Michael D. Schoenfeldt is an active member of the Kansas City community who assists multiple nonprofit organizations and participates in local charitable functions. He belongs to the local Father’s Club chapter, a group of dads dedicated to supporting their community and families and addressing issues such as mental health, teen suicide, substance abuse, anxiety, self-worth, and technology addiction. Michael D. Schoenfeldt has also volunteered for City Union Mission as a Christmas store assistant and donated blood for an Olathe Northwest High School blood drive.
A former US Army leader, Mr. Schoenfeldt spent 23 years in the US Army between 1998 and 2021. During this time, he assumed various positions of increasing responsibility. In 2017, he was selected to attend National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. He earned a master of science in national resource strategy and a graduate certificate for supply chain management. As part of the latter program, he elected to orient studies toward the aircraft industry. The curriculum included case study seminars and visits to companies like Boeing-Saab, FedEx, Amazon, Tobyhanna Army Depot, and Lockheed Martin.
From 2019 to 2021, Michael Schoenfeldt served as the commander of an armored brigade combat team. In this capacity, he led a team of 4,500. Among his other responsibilities, he established policies regarding discipline, logistics, training operations, safety, administration, and community leadership.
